We recognise that teachers want to have access to relevant materials to strengthen and enhance their teaching across all key stages.  This website is a comprehensive and authoritative tool allowing teachers to select the most appropriate resource for their needs.  Climate change in particular is of interest to young people because;

  • Young people are interested in issues that are real and topical;
  • It is a local to global challenge and affects us all;
  • It integrates many subjects and provides cross-curricular learning opportunities;
  • It provides opportunities for community engagement;
  • It links to many whole school initiatives such as Healthy Schools, Sustainable Schools, Every Child Matters and the International Schools Award;
  • Young people have a right to be aware of and involved in such an urgent challenge to our lives;
  • It  integrates ideas of global learning with notions of global citizenship;
  • We are all need to share ideas and learn from each other in order to live more sustainably;
  • Work and life are changing to adapt to a post-fossil fuel and a zero carbon future.
